Don’t Miss The Tractor and Truck Pull Events
The Tuesday night garden tractor pull is a fun filled family event, with pullers ranging in age from 5 to 95! Anything from a garden tractor that the kids rebuilt in their garages, all the way up to tractors that have had $20,000 invested and compete nationally, come see them all right here. This event draws competitors from 100’s of miles and across 4 states. These are no ordinary garden tractors!
“The garden tractor pull has held a special place in my heart since I became involved with it. When I first heard of Garden Tractor pulling, I thought, how fun can that really be? Well, as soon as I saw the first pull, I was hooked! It instantly brought me back to my childhood days of the first tractor I bought to run my business. I worked for two years with a push mower before saving up enough money to purchase my first tractor. From the purchase of that tractor, to a commercial mower, to a truck, trailer, house, and now a business that is able to sponsor events across four counties. It all started with hard work, and that little tractor”, stated Tim Elmendorf the Ulster County Fair’s Arena sponsor.
Truck Pull: The age old question Ford, Chevy or Dodge? Gas or diesel? Manual or auto? How does your truck match up to your neighbor’s? Come on out on Thursday night and compete for the win, and maybe finish these arguments once and for all! This event ranges in truck size from small pickup’s all the way to custom trucks built specifically for pulling. Get in the stands early, this event gets busy quick!
Farm tractor pull: This event started out with farmers who drove their tractors to a local field and all competed. It has become quite an event, from old gas tractors that are still in use every day cutting hay, to newer diesel tractors. There are also classes for modified tractors. Come out and watch these machines compete for who can make the most noise, pull the farthest, and bring home the prize!
